So. I did not know this but there's another person out there that goes by Chickamoo. It's crazy how eerily close the names are lol! But be forwarned I am not Chickamoo, I'm ChikaMoo. My Chicka only has the one C, and my nickname is Chika. The other Chickamoo has a few nice things up in her Etsy, and has a neat looking facebook.
So onto business. I've been participating in NaNoWriMo this year, I'm only a few thousand words behind, which isn't half bad as I started writing on the 4th. (Bad Chika!) So the Fun with the NaNo has been taking up most of my brain times. BUT, I have been thinking on what to do for the Chika costume.
My basic plan for this costume has many, many steps.
My first plan of action is the legs/stilts. I have a lovely pair of red brown wedge heels. I have nothing that goes with them! A great shame as many of you that like shoes and looking good with your shoes can attest. So. While I WILL make my stilts, I will aslo make a backup pair of legs in the event there's a system malfunction with my wooden stilts or I manage to flail about, and do a magical radial fracture of my legs, or the next day I'm too damn sore to wear the stilts..
Yes. Back up legs are a good idea.
So the first plan of action is Operation Leg Bones. This is Leg Bones: Stilts and Leg Bones: Flats.
Second plan of action is the underlying form. Operation Meat Bag for short. this is how I hope to acheive the illusion of being a bipedal talking cow monster. I am still debating about making arm extensions for the stilted costume. Operation Meat bag involves a cotton unitard and foam. Lots and lots of foam. I am also debating on making a moving tail. Ambitious and slightly suicidal, I know.
Third plan of action is what to wear! So far I like the idea of having two sets of armor, T9 Horde Hunter and T11 Heroic hunter. I also like the idea of making a Twilight Cultist outfit for my backup leg and meat bag set. Nothing is currently set for the armor sets. if T12 blows me away I'll make that or try to make that rather.
Fourth plan of action is one of the more complicated things on this costume. I speak of course of the head. Ideally I'd like to do a movable Jaw. this will probably be one of the processes that I agonize and struggle over.
Fifth plan is to do weaponry. I'll wait to see what cool new weapons we get before deciding on anything.
The fifth step might actually be the easiest step asides from making the stilts.
So this is my whole Basic plan Laid out for how in the world I'll try to be a moo cow.
Next time I post expect Pictures. My attempts at a pie chart illustrating just how the stilts will urn me into a cripple have ended badly as well as my sketches... I am not good at cartoony O SHI! pictures :P

You are Here.
You are here, at the beginning. This blog is primarily here for me to keep track of my epic undertaking.
I speak of my attempts to Create a Tauren Cosplay for Blizzcon 2011.
This is Epic because I have never created a costume based on an already existing character, aka cosplayed. The closest I've ever come to making a fursuit, which is what the Chikamoo Costume technically is/will be, was a sculpty and paperclay mask that was a cross between a horse and a wolf skull... made in Highschool. It was surprisingly heavy and hurt the bridge of my nose. Yes, that same mask is part of the story about how I lost half an eye brow and hit myself in the face with a thick metal spoon. But back on track.
Here's hoping I can use this year to the best of my abilities and make an amazing cosplay, as well as help others trying to make similar costumes.
FOR THE HORDE!
